(Ashaiman) Mr Enerst Henry Norgbey , Member of Parliament for Ashaiman Constituency has called on the government to continue and complete projects started by the erstwhile Mahama lead government within the Ashaiman Municipality.

Mr Norgbey noted that there were some important projects started by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ashaiman which have been abandoned by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

According to the Ashaiman Member of Parliament, projects which included , dormitories, markets, school blocks amongst other important social amenities have been abrogated without any tangible reasons.

Mr Norgbey explained that successive governments should continue projects initiated to meet the daily demands of the impacted communities, arguing that it was irrelevant for the Nana Akufo Addo lead administration to discontinue the Mahama community Senior High School which Ashaiman was a beneficiary Constituency.

He stressed that the E block could accommodate about 1,500 students which according to him would reduce the current pressure on the few educational facilities within the Municipality.

Mr Norgbey made this call during an event to hand over some three unit bedroom bungalow to the Ashaiman Municipal education director in Ashaiman.

In a sharp response to the Ghana News Agency via an interview, Mr Albert Boakye Okyere Municipal Chief Executive (MCE ) Ashaiman Municipal Assembly (ASHMA) noted that the Member of Parliament’s assertion could not be the real reflection of the issues on the grounds.

Mr Okyere stated that projects inherited  from the previous administration has seen some facelifts whereas others have been completed, adding that the dormitory block at the Ashaiman Senior High School have been completed and in use by the school.

He further explained that the community Senior High School popular known as Mahama E-block was left unroofed but it has been roofed awaiting  some final works to be done before it would be put to use.

Mr Okyere hinted that several projects including the agenda 111 hospitals were on the radar for Ashaiman assuring that the residents must exercise some patience and support the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly to provide the needed development to the various communities.
