NF-(Sebrepor)- The Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly(KKMA) in the Greater Accra Region has been declared the most populated municipality in the Greater Accra Region Municipal Planning Officer has revealed.
In a powerpoint presentation at the Christ the King Presbyterian Church in sebrepor, Ms Sakina Nyankamawu Kpone -Katamanso Municipal Planning Officer stated that the municipality now has a population size of 417,334 followed by the Ga South Municipal Assembly with a Population size of 350,121 making KKMA the most populated Municipality in the Region.
Ms Sakina Nyankamawu further hinted that the increase in population size demanded that the Municipal Assembly needed to do more so as to meet the daily demands of the people.
The municipal planning officer presented projects executed by the Municipal Assembly over the years saying that the Municipal Assembly would do more developmental projects in the coming years with a call on residents to assist the Municipal Assembly succeed.
Mr Samuel Okoe Amanquah, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Kpone -Katamanso Municipal Assembly expressed gratitude to the residents for participating in the town hall meeting.
The MCE again stated that the Municipal Assembly would do all it could to bring development to the door steps of the people saying residents must continue to have confidence in the leaders.
Mr Okoe Amanquah further advised the participants to channel all their challenges to the appropriate officers at the Municipal Assembly for prompt action.
Present at the town hall meeting were Chiefs, dressmakers, hairdressers, identifiable groups , clergies,Assembly Members ,Unit Committee ,the Member of Parliament for the Kpone -Katamanso constituency, amongst other important personalities.
