NF-(Saki)- Personnel from the Kpone District Police Command of the Ghana Police Service (GPS) have met with Mobile Money operatives within the Nmlitsakpo Electoral Area within the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality over security issues.

The meeting was under the directives of the District Police commander Superintendent Seth Tay.

Chief Inspector Regina Ama Arthur at the Golf City Police station told the Mobile Money Operatives that the Police were always ready to assist and provide them with professional security in their business.

The Chief Inspector again added that MOMO operators must at all times take their personal security very seriously saying mobile money operatives have become major target for criminals in the country.

She explained that the mobile money operators should not keep huge sums of money on them, adding that mobile money operatives within the Golf City Police operational areas should not hesitate to call on the police should they suspect any suspicious characters around their business.

Corporal Samuel Agbemehia of the Golf City Police station also stated that the District police command had picked up intelligence about some emerging trend of attacks on Mobile Money Operatives within some communities in the municipality.

Corporal Agbemehia hinted that the police sought to be proactive so as to put in measures to avert or foil any move by the criminals on the MOMO operators within the communities.

The police corporal advised the Mobile money operatives to settle for durable and safer Mobile Money shops for their business saying that criminals would only take advantage of porous security situations to launch an attack.

Mobile Money Operators from Bediako, Community 25, Kpone Barrier, Golf-City and Saki converge at the Church Of Pentecost auditorium for the security sensitization.
