NF-(Golf-City) – Mr Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo former member of Parliament Kpone- Katamanso constituency has advised members of the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Kpone-Katamanso Constituency to Unite ahead of the 2024 general elections.

The Former MP who was also the regent for the Katamanso Traditional Area made this remark during an NDC outreach program held at the St Jon Bosco Catholic Church at Golf City in the Kpone-Katamanso Constituency.
Mr Afotey Agbo further stated that members of the party must abhor hatred amongst themselves but rather work hard to unite the party for victory in the next general election.
‘Do not punch holes into people’s trousers when there are no reasons to do so’ he said.
He stated that it would be unwise for any person to contest the current constituency chairman saying his performance during the last elections was very outstanding.

Mr Joseph Nii Laryea who is also known as Lion in the area added that the party’s interest should be paramount than any individual parochial interest stressing that though the party believed in democracy the current Constituency Chairman should be given the chance to put the party on a solid ground.
He warned against people who go around spewing false information about other members, to desist from such acts stressing that such moves would only divide the party at the grass root level.
The NDC statesman also advised the branch executives to remain resolute and love one another as the party works hard to recapture power from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mr Nicholas Oko Ofei Kpone- Katamanso Constituency chairman of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) expressed gratitude to the members of the party for their support over the years.

Mr Oko Ofei who is also known in the area as ‘General Nikuz’ further hinted that the party would soon conduct election at the Branch, Constituency, Regional and at the National level to elect officers to man the various positions in the party.
He said members should be rest assured that the party hierarchy would at all times put in measures which would be tailored to meet their interest adding that party sympathizers must continue to support the party at the grass root level so as to secure the needed victory come 2024.

The Kpone-Katamanso NDC under the Chairmanship of Mr Nicholas Oko Ofei extended the Party’s electoral fortunes from 3000 in 2016 to over 12,000 votes in the 2020 general elections with the hope to further extend the gap come December 2024.
