NF-(Zenu)-The Kpone -Katamanso Municipal Assembly have begun its Community engagement on the Operation Clean Your Frontage policy with residents of Zenu community in the Kpone -Katamanso Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
Delivering his keynote address Mr Samuel Oko Amanquah Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Kpone -Katamanso Municipal Assembly stated that the Operation Clean your Frontage program would commence effectively from February this year.

The MCE further hinted that it was important the Municipal Assembly engaged the residents in the Municipality to sensitize them on the provisos that accompanied the Operation Clean Your Frontage.
Mr Oko Amanquah who is also known as Okoson in the area further noted that there was an operational Legislative Instrument (LI) that would serve as a legal frame for the policy saying authorities would not relent to enforce the LI to ensure residents adhere to the requirements of the Operation Clean Your Frontage program.

According to the MCE it was the vision of the President Nana Ado Dankwa Akufo -Addo to make Greater Accra the Cleanest City in the West African sub-region hence the relentless effort by the Greater Accra Regional Minister to that ensure that vision became a reality by launching the program in October last year.
Mr Amanquah stated that Churches, Mosques, Pubs, Companies and individual homes are to ensure their frontage right to the Middle of the roads including the drains if any were kept clean and area greened at all the times.
He added that failure to comply with the directives would trigger prosecution which could be grave and dire so as to serve as deterrent to others, adding that residents would soon have the presence of some Sanitation task force personnel in the various communities within the municipality to ensure residents complied with the directives.

Residents, Land Lords, youth groups, clergies amongst other identifiable groups converged at the Divine Healers Church in Zenu for the community engagement on the Operation Clean your Frontage policy.
