NF-(Sebrepor)- The Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly has held a public hearing on it 2022-2025 Medium Term Development Plan (MTDP) for members of the KAMSBEG zonal council in Sebrepor suburb of the Kpone Katamanso Municipality.
The Public forum was to Validate and access the immediate needs of residents within the Kakasonanka, Nmlitsakpo Sebrepor ,Bethlehem and Gbetsile (KAMSBEG) Zonal Council area as the Municipal Assembly advances plans to implement the 2022-2025 MTDP across the municipality.

Mrs Sibawehi Khadija Development Planning Officer Kpone-Katamanso stated that, the Kpone -Katamanso Municipal Assembly have the Mandate as stipulated in the local government act 936 (2016) to formulate and deliberate on policy and programs for the residents within it jurisdiction.
Mrs Sibawehi further explained that the public hearing was to seek the public input and suggestions to the list of needs the residents themselves may consider as priority for execution by the Municipal Assembly.
According to the Development Planning Officer, the MTDP informed the decision that took place at the Municipal Assembly adding that the Kpone -Katamanso Municipality was growing in terms of population and it was imperative for the Assembly to provide the necessary amenities to meet the demands of the people.
Mr Noble Atsu Ahadzi Budget Analyst Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly hinted that the Kpone -Katamanso Municipality has a very large area saying that the size of the Municipality was adversely affecting developments within the various communities.
He noted that residents over the years were reluctant in paying their property rates which could be used to develop the areas.
Mr Ahadzi further explained that the challenges facing the municipality were enormous, saying money was needed to remedy those challenges.
He again called on the participants to promptly pay their property rates so as to enable the Municipal Assembly to rake in more revenue to develop the municipality.
Mr Joseph Kwesi Gbeze Presiding Member Kpone Katamanso expressed gratitude to the organizers and the participants for attending the event.

He assured the residents to keep faith with the Municipal Assembly and should not hesitate to report any issues bordering them within the communities.
‘The Municipal assembly existed to meet your demands’ he said.
