NF-(Prampram)- Naa Osabu Abe I queen mother for the Prampram Traditional Area has declared her support for their Member Of Parliament (MP) Mr.Samuel Nartey George for his stance against, Lesbians, Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI) activities in the country.

In an interview with newsfarmgh.com in Prampram, the queen mother noted that Ghana’s customs do not warrant such activities and it was imparative that a law was promulgated to criminalize their activities.

She added that the Prampram Traditional Council has put in place measures to prevent such activities in the various communities.

According to the queen mother hitherto, there was no records of LGBTQI activities in Prampram.

Naa Osabu Abe I streesed that the various opinion leaders including traditional rulers in the country must be proactive to prevent persons who got involved in such shameful acts.

She called on parents to pay critical attention to the needs of their children saying they could be lured by unscrupulous person into practicing socially unacceptable acts.

Mr. Samuel Nartey George including other seven members of parliament has presented a private members bill to Ghana’s legislative house which seeks to criminalize LGBTQI and it related cases in the republic of Ghana.
